Disaster and military medicine conference starts

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible of Defence Affairs, inaugurated the first disaster and military medicine conference under at Al Shafaq Club of the Sultan’s Armed Forces on Wednesday. The three-day conference is attended by over 500 participants from the Sultanate and abroad. More than 25 working papers will be presented under eight themes related to military medicine and ways of handling emergencies, both military and natural disasters. The conference is also part of the Sultanate’s preparations for the Swift Sword-3 war exercises scheduled for October this year.
