MUSCAT: The second session of Oman Partnership and Social Responsibility Forum will begin on October 15. The forum, a training platform, aims to sustain social responsibility programmes, share experiences of success and raise standards of responsible community performance. On the first day, the forum will discuss two themes, namely ‘Sustainability Mechanisms of Social Responsibility Programmes’, which discusses employment mechanisms for sectoral programmes and highlights the sustainability of community programmes. The second theme will discuss the “Challenges of Organising Social Responsibility Sector” and the procedures and legislations to develop the sector and the national methodology for participatory social investment. The second day of the forum will be dedicated to holding training sessions by specialists and experts in the field of social responsibility and public relations in many areas, including the role of human resources in the sustainability of corporate social responsibility programmes, the basics of the philosophy of social responsibility from an Islamic perspective and the reconsideration of corporate social responsibility in education, in addition to how the private sector develops sustainable cities and measuring levels of sustainability: Malaysia as a model. — ONA
