A number of arrests made on charges of drug possession, trafficking

Sept 16---- The Royal Oman Police (ROP) in Dhofar have seized 2,500 packs of khat in the Wilayat of Mirbat. Additionally, an expat was caught while trying to smuggle 2 kilograms of marijuana at Muscat International Airport, according to an official source at ROP. A citizen was also caught for drug possession and trafficking in the Wilayat of alSeeb. The arrested have been referred to judicial authorities for further investigation.
