Accreditation committee meets

MUSCAT: The Health Institutions Accreditation Committee met on Tuesday at the Ministry of Health headquarters. The meeting was chaired by Dr Sultan bin Yarub al Busaidy, Adviser of Ministry of Health for Health Affairs and Chairman of the Committee. The meeting shed the lights on five groups that established accreditation standards for emergency, infection control, medical care, operation theatre and medical rehabilitation. A number of issues including the work requirement and needs, as well as the procedures of establishing an accreditation authority were discussed during the meeting.
