1.5 tonne rotten poultry meat seized

Muscat: The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources in the Al Dhahirah Governorate recently seized over 1.5 tonnes of rotten poultry meat. The truck was seized for storing the meat, which did not meet the norms of cold storage. The officials the Public Authority for Consumer Protection said the truck was heading towards two shops in Muscat. The truck was seized following its arrival at one of its destination. They were booked for the violations of the Article 7 of the Consumer Protection Law, which states that ‘it is prohibited to trade bad quality products.
