Singers to perform in Muscat and Suhar

MUSCAT: The Telugu community in Oman and Chiru Mega Youth Force (CMYF) have joined hands to celebrate ‘Bathukamma’ and Navrathri festivals at Al Felaj Hotel in Muscat on October 12 and at Royal Garden Hotel in Suhar on October 13. As part of the celebrations, famous Telugu singer and music director Vandematram Srinivas (pictured), and other singers including Adarshini and Swaraj will enthral audience on the occasion. Vandematram Srinivas is a South Indian music director, who is also a playback singer and an actor and film director. He won two Filmfare Awards and nine Nandi Awards. C Narayana Reddy’s forceful lyric not only gave the film its title, but also a new surname to Srinivas, ‘Vandemataram.’
