MANILA: Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said on Friday he might have cancer after he shared that he had recently gone to a hospital for a check-up. The visit was for testing, but it prompted him to cancel a Cabinet meeting. The president said he can’t still clearly confirm the results of the tests, but he alluded to cancer. “So it got worse. I don’t know where, where I’m now physically, but I have to wait for that. But I would tell you that — if it’s cancer, it’s cancer. And if it’s third stage, no more treatment. I will not prolong my agony in this office or anywhere,” Duterte said. — dpa
