Oman’s Shabib retains Mountain Bike race title

Muscat, oct 7 - Oman’s Shabib al Balushi retained the Elite category title in the Opal Mountain Bike Cross Country Race held in Rusayl on Saturday. Shabib bagged the first place with a timing of 1 hour 24 minutes and 54 seconds. Shabib’s countryman Hatem Hamdan al Bushari bagged the second place with a timing of 1.25.36 seconds while Great Britain’s Joe Bunn settled for the third spot with a timing of 1.26.34s. In the female category, Lebanon’s Marwa El Hag took the first place with a timing of 2.01.17 seconds while Anna Weld of Great Britain finished second with a timing of 2.12.34s.  American Sara Oakes was third with a timing of 2.14.04s.
