Muscat: Saadah bint Salim al Ismailiyah, board member of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) and Vice-Chairman of Oman Women’s Sport Committee, has received achievement diploma from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The award is in recognition of her outstanding contribution to promoting women’s sport in the Sultanate and in appreciation of her continuing efforts to propagate awareness among women to exercise sport. This recognition demonstrates that Omani women are capable of making achievements and actively contributing to various fields of work, including sport. The IOC has been granting this certificate since 2000 to men and women alike who make remarkable contribution to the development of women’s or men’s participation in sport.
