Professional scouting workshop for digital media ends

MUSCAT: The professional scouting workshop for digital media and communication networks concluded on Thursday at Majan Hotel. The workshop was organised by the Directorate General of Scouts and Girl Guides, represented by the Department of Public Relations and Scouting and Guidance media, in cooperation with the Directorate General for Human Resource Development, Ministry of Education. The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak al Araimi, Director General and Editor-in-Chief of Oman News Agency (ONA), Chairman of the Omani Journalists Association (OJA), in the presence of Dr Yaqoub bin Abdullah al Nadabi, Director General of Scouts and Girl Guides. Dr Al Araimi stressed the importance of the workshop, pointing out that the media is continuously developing, and these courses improve the skills of all who deal with the media. He affirmed that such workshops prepare media professionals to deal with various media outlets and with the recipient of these media messages. At the end of the workshop, the chief guest handed over the certificates to the participants in the training workshop. — ONA
