Group gets three months jail for firing shots: Prosecution

Muscat: Th Public Prosecution in Oman said that it has sentenced a group of people who fired gun shots for non-distress requests in Salalah. They were sentenced to three months' imprisonment and a fine of RO 300, and the same punishment was imposed on the person who handed over his licensed weapon to one of the accused. The court also ruled that all of them were prohibited from carrying medals, honorary titles and weapons. Their weapons have been also confiscated.
