Anti-mosquito drive phase 2 launched in Bausher

STAFF REPORTER - MUSCAT, JAN 16 - The second phase of the campaign to eliminate the dengue-causing Aedes aegypti mosquitoes was launched in the wilayat of Bausher on Wednesday. The launch of the campaign, organised by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in collaboration with Muscat Municipality and other stakeholders, was held in the presence of Dr Ahmed Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health. The minister lauded the efforts made at the beginning of the campaign which covered the wilayat of Seeb. He emphasised the importance of public cooperation to achieve the objectives of the campaign. MoH and Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with the walis’ offices as well as volunteers, have finalized their preparations for the campaign in the wilayat. These include provision of necessary resources as well as training of field teams that will visit households. The campaign will run until January 21. MoH and Muscat Municipality have called upon citizens and residents to cooperate with the field teams involved in the campaign.
