Slight drop in temperature due to northwesterly winds: Met

Muscat: Oman Meteorology has urged caution over the possibility of reduced horizontal visibility due to the expected fog formations and during dust rising wind in the desert and open areas. 'Temperatures in Muscat will see a slight drop due to these northwesterly winds, but it will be not that much,' said an official at Oman Meteorology. 'There are chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog formations along parts of the coastal areas of Sea of Oman and Buraimi governorate. Over most of the Sultanate wind will be northwesterly to westerly light to moderate occasionally fresh over Musandam, Buraimi and along coastal areas of Sea of Oman,' the statement said.
