Handicapped people in Oman to be referred as 'the disabled'

Muscat: As per the decision (7/2008) of the Council of Ministers, the handicapped people in Oman should be always referred to as 'the disabled' and not as 'persons with special needs,' an official statement reiterated on Sunday. 'Also, avoid using terms like the 'persons of determination' as the term is not internationally recognized,' the statement said.
