Over 600 workers deported for violations in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower in Muscat 644 arrested and deported workers during the period December 12-20 for violating provisions of the Labour law. Last week, officials from the Ministry of Manpower carried out an inspection against expatriate workers in Al-Khuwair for working in a number of stores, washing cars in public parking and selling fish on the streets without any supporting documents.
