Motorist arrested in hit and run case

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) in Al Batinah North arrested a motorist after he tried to escape following a hit and run incident. 'The ROP arrested a motorist after he ran over a cyclist and escaped from the scene of the accident.'  The cyclist was transferred to the nearest health center, while legal actions have been taken against the driver,' ROP statement said.
