Companies warned of monopolistic practices in Oman

Muscat: The Competition Protection of Monopaly Centre warned companies against monopolistic practices as a result of increased demand for some products in local markets. It warned the business to follow the provisions of the law on competition Protection and prevention of monopoly and added that the relevant regulatory bodies would take necessary measures in case of any violations.
On Monday, the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) said that legal action will be initiated against a pharmacy that raised the prices without approval.
