Six expatriates arrested for electronic fraud

Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) said that the Dhofar Governorate Police have arrested six Asian people on charges of electronic fraud through text messages and legal measures were being taken against them. ROP called on everyone not to respond to unknown numbers who tell bank customers that they have either won cash prizes or their ATM cards have been blocked. Customers have been urged not to disclose any personal data related to their bank accounts.
