Oman targets high-spending tourists in global Visa campaign

Muscat: Oman is stepping up efforts to attract high-spending international visitors through a new tourism campaign launched by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) in partnership with global payments company Visa and the national travel operator.

The campaign was unveiled at the Oman Pavilion at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026, in the presence of Ibrahim bin Said al Busaidy, Minister of Heritage and Tourism.

It focuses on promoting Oman’s luxury tourism experiences, adventure offerings and marine activities, targeting Visa cardholders worldwide who are interested in high-end travel experiences.

Visa will use its advanced data analytics to identify traveller segments most likely to be interested in Oman’s tourism offerings, with the aim of turning that interest into actual bookings.

The initiative also reflects the ministry’s efforts to make greater use of digital tools in tourism promotion and strengthen partnerships with international companies to reach new markets.
