MUSCAT: The Royal Academy of Management hosted the Oman-South Korea Economic Cooperation Forum under the theme “Geopolitical Changes and the Future of Economic Cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Korea”. The forum brought together government representatives, researchers and experts from both countries to examine the future of bilateral economic relations amid evolving global geopolitical and economic dynamics, and to explore opportunities for deeper cooperation across strategic sectors.
The forum was jointly organised by the Foreign Ministry, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Oman, the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and the Royal Academy of Management. It provided a platform for dialogue on strengthening economic ties, expanding areas of collaboration and advancing shared priorities that support economic diversification and mutual growth.
Discussions covered a broad range of strategic priorities, including energy security and supply chain resilience, hydrogen and clean energy, advanced technologies and artificial intelligence, industrial cooperation, food security, agriculture and the food industry. Particular attention was given to identifying new opportunities for partnership, shaping the future of energy cooperation and exploring avenues for industrial and technological collaboration beyond the energy sector.
