MUSCAT, NOV 2
Oman international Falah al Jaradi has joined Kuwait’s Sulaibikhat for the 2026-27 volleyball season, continuing his professional career abroad after previous spells in the United Arab Emirates and India.
The outside hitter moves from Al Bashayer following a successful period with the national team, highlighted by Oman’s West Asian title in July and silver medal at the Arab championship in October.
Sulaibikhat will look to draw on his attacking qualities and international experience as they strengthen their squad for the season ahead.
Al Jaradi said the move offered a fresh challenge and an opportunity to build on the experience gained during his earlier overseas assignments.
“I received several offers from clubs abroad, but chose Sulaibikhat because I believe playing in the Kuwaiti Premier League represents an important step in my professional career,” he said. “It is another opportunity to improve my performances and continue developing.”
His previous clubs include Al Ain in the UAE, where he said he won a bronze medal, and India’s Calicut Heroes. He credited both experiences with improving his technical abilities and broadening his understanding of the game.
“My ambition goes beyond personal success. I want to make my family proud and represent the Oman Volleyball Association and the Sultanate of Oman with distinction,” he said.

“I also want to show that Omani players have the ability to develop, compete in overseas leagues and achieve success.”
Al Jaradi’s move follows two notable campaigns with Oman. He helped the national team win the second West Asia Volleyball Association Men’s Championship in Muscat in July, when the hosts defeated Qatar 3-0 in the final. His contribution earned him the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award.
He subsequently helped Oman claim silver at the 24th Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship in Amman, Jordan, where the team recorded four successive victories before losing their closing match to Bahrain. Al Jaradi was also recognised as one of the tournament’s best outside hitters.
Reflecting on those achievements, he praised the Oman Volleyball Association (OVA) and its chairman, Eng Ibrahim bin Abdullah al Maqbali, for supporting players and expanding their opportunities to compete internationally.
“The association’s support and commitment to ensuring our participation in regional and continental competitions have given us valuable opportunities to gain experience and demonstrate our abilities,” he said.
“Our collective and individual achievements with the national team would not have been possible without that continued work and support.”
Al Jaradi said regular international competition had contributed to his progress and helped create opportunities to play professionally outside Oman.
He now hopes to carry that progress into his latest assignment in Kuwait.
“I look forward to meeting expectations with Sulaibikhat and continuing to achieve results that raise Oman’s profile in international sport,” he said.
