The three-day event featured a total of 87 races across different age categories, attracting camel owners and trainers from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

Organised by the OCRF with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth (MoCSY), the competition showcased traditional camel racing across several categories, with races held over distances ranging from 3km to 5km.

The opening day, Tuesday, featured 18 Hagayeg races for two-year-old camels over 3km, comprising 12 rounds for female camels and six for male camels.

Wednesday’s programme included 15 races, with 12 Lagaya races for three-year-old camels over 4km, alongside three human-rider races over 2km.

The final day on Thursday featured 12 races across the Elythaa, Thanaya, Al Hawl and Al Zamoul categories, with competitions held over 5km.

The third round was part of the season’s programme of five successive races staged at Al Felaij and Al Bashayer racecourses. The fourth round is scheduled for November 10–12.
