Al Buraimi council reviews road improvement plans

AL BURAIMI: The Al Buraimi Municipal Council held its eighth periodic meeting of the year, chaired by Sayyid Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi and Chairman of the Council, to discuss a range of service and development topics. The Council reviewed committee reports and feedback from relevant authorities, along with the latest progress on the governorate’s projects, including the award of a number of second-stage tenders for development projects and the development of industrial and commercial areas. The Council approved the project to continue linking North Al ‘Uqdah with the Al Buraimi–Mahadha road, facilitating transportation and improving traffic flow. It also discussed a proposal to construct a footbridge on the highway opposite Ali Bin Saif Al Naimi Mosque, providing a safe crossing and improving safety for drivers.
