Oman joins GCC supreme courts meeting in Manama

MANAMA: Oman took part on Wednesday in the 12th periodic meeting of the heads of the Supreme and Cassation Courts of the GCC states, held in Manama, Bahrain. The Omani delegation was headed by Khalid bin Rashid al Manwari, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court. The meeting reviewed the efforts of judicial authorities in the GCC countries to combat money laundering and human trafficking, and discussed the electronic Gulf judicial magazine and the selection of a topic for the 2027 annual report. It also considered a proposal to introduce a GCC Award for Research and Studies in Judicial Fields and reviewed developments on the electronic platform for Gulf judicial rulings and principles. The meeting forms part of efforts to strengthen judicial cooperation and the exchange of expertise among GCC judicial institutions. — ONA
