Philippines introduces e-visa system for Omani travellers

MUSCAT: Oman’s Foreign Ministry has informed citizens travelling to the Philippines that the country introduced an electronic visa system on October 5, 2026, allowing holders of approved e-visas to present them digitally or as printed copies upon arrival.

In a consular notice issued on October 13, the ministry said applications can be made through [https://evisa.gov.ph](https://evisa.gov.ph). No visa sticker will be placed in the passport for an electronic visa.

The e-visa is valid alongside the machine-readable visa (MRV) sticker system for individual visas under the temporary visitor category, 9(a), and other applicable Philippine visa categories.

The ministry said electronic visas cannot be converted into other types of Philippine visas, and the period of stay granted under an e-visa cannot be extended.

Omani citizens planning to visit the Philippines must ensure their passports are valid for at least six months from the date of entry. The ministry also urged travellers to have health insurance covering their entire stay.
