OMAN JOINS ARAB QUALITY ASSURANCE FORUM IN DOHA

DOHA: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Oman Authority for Quality Assurance of Education, participated in the Forum of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education 2026, held in Doha under the theme 'Exploring Opportunities in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation'. The delegation was headed by Dr Jokha bint Abdullah al Shukaili, CEO of the authority and President of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
In her speech at the opening ceremony, Dr Al Shukaili emphasised the importance of transitioning from meeting accreditation standards and requirements to measuring the actual impact of educational quality, pointing out that its true value becomes evident when it achieves a tangible impact on student life, graduate competence, institutional performance and community development.
On the sidelines, the authority met the Tunisian Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation, represented by its Director-General, Prof Dr Salma Damak, to discuss enhancing cooperation in higher education quality assurance. — ONA
