Three arrested for bringing wildlife meat into Oman without permits

Dhofar: The Environment Authority in Dhofar, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, has arrested three citizens for bringing wildlife meat into Oman without the required environmental permits.
The citizens were found in possession of meat from wild animals, including birds and wild rabbits, after bringing it into the country, the authority said.
The authority said the act violated the Wildlife Trade Regulation Law issued under Royal Decree No 45/2024. The necessary legal procedures have been taken.
It urged everyone to comply with environmental laws and regulations to avoid legal action.
