UN says strikes on Afghanistan kill 10 civilians

KABUL: The United Nations said airstrikes on Thursday killed at least 10 civilians in Afghanistan, mostly children, after Pakistan said it targeted armed groups.
Afghanistan and Pakistan went to war earlier this year and, with no permanent resolution reached on security issues, there have been sporadic attacks since a March truce. The latest strikes hit Helmand province as well as Kunar, which borders Pakistan, the UN mission in Afghanistan said. — AFP
