Virtual health event focuses on developing partnerships

TUNIS: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Health, participated on Tuesday in the proceedings of the International Virtual Health Event in Tunisia, which discusses the future of digital health, telemedicine, artificial intelligence, data governance, cybersecurity, infrastructure and financing.
The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman was headed by Sulaiman bin Nasser al Hiji, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
The three-day event, which witnesses the participation of a number of ministers, international officials and experts, and representatives of global health and financial organisations, focuses on developing partnerships and solutions that would support health services and enhance equity in access to healthcare.
The programme includes sessions on the digital transformation of healthcare, virtual hospitals, and the interconnection and integration of health systems and data, in addition to specialised workshops in artificial intelligence, digital health, and cybersecurity.
Participating in the event on behalf of the Ministry of Health are several ministry officials and specialists from departments and sectors concerned with information technology, digital health, and the National Virtual Health Center. — ONA
