SPF advances monthly allowances project for internal scholarships

MUSCAT: The Social Protection Fund (SPF) affirmed that registration for the monthly allowances service for students under the internal scholarship system covers all students, whether current students enrolled in private universities and colleges within the Sultanate of Oman, including those currently receiving monthly allowances, or new students whose data is available with their educational institutions.
The Fund explained in a statement that everyone is required to complete registration procedures through the electronic service. It noted that the importance of registration stems from the need to update and unify beneficiary data, verify their eligibility in accordance with the approved criteria, and link their personal, educational, and bank account data within an integrated electronic system, thereby enhancing the accuracy of eligibility and disbursement procedures and streamlining procedures for the student.
It stated that a current student's receipt of the allowance during the previous period does not obviate the need for registration, as this step constitutes an essential part of updating data and verifying continued fulfilment of eligibility conditions. — ONA
