Al Wusta, Al Batinah North firms seek partnerships

HAIMA: A delegation of 15 business owners and entrepreneurs from Al Wusta will visit North Al Batinah on Tuesday and Wednesday to explore investment opportunities and strengthen commercial links between the two governorates.
The delegation will be led by Dr Salim bin Salim al Junaibi, a member of the State Council and chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) branch in Al Wusta. Its members represent a range of economic sectors.
The visit forms part of the chamber branch’s efforts to encourage direct engagement among businesses, create new channels for trade and investment cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise.
The delegation will examine North Al Batinah’s economic and investment landscape and discuss potential partnerships between private-sector companies in the two governorates.
Its programme includes meetings with officials and business representatives at the OCCI branch in North Al Batinah, as well as visits to companies, projects and other facilities across the governorate.
The field visits will allow delegates to examine commercial and industrial operations, learn from successful business models and identify opportunities for companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, to expand and form partnerships.
Al Junaibi said the visit was part of the Al Wusta branch’s efforts to strengthen links among business owners across Oman and make greater use of successful economic experiences.
“The delegation aims to use these visits as a practical platform to connect business owners, explore investment opportunities and build genuine, sustainable commercial partnerships that benefit enterprises and the local economies of both governorates,” he said.
North Al Batinah has diverse economic, industrial and logistics assets, while Al Wusta offers investment opportunities across several sectors, creating scope for partnerships and greater economic integration, Al Junaibi said.
He added that the initiative reflected the branch’s commitment to supporting businesses and SMEs, introducing them to opportunities across the Sultanate of Oman and encouraging them to expand their operations.
The visit is expected to deepen relations between the business communities of Al Wusta and North Al Batinah, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and open new avenues for investment and joint projects. — ONA
