RAO concludes military exercise 'Shujaa Al Sahil 1'

AL JABAL AL AKHDHAR: Acting in cooperation with the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and units from land forces of the Union of the Comoros, the Royal Army of Oman (RAO)’s Muscat Battalion on Wednesday held a ceremony to mark the conclusion of a joint military exercise codenamed “Shujaa Al Sahil 1” (Coastal Warrior 1).
The ceremony was held at the military training range in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar under the auspices of Maj Gen Matar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, in the presence of the Commander of the Defence Force of the Union of the Comoros.
The chief guest and the attendees listened to a briefing about the stages of the drill and its strategic plans and objectives. The exercise included various training settings that simulated the roles of the participating units.
Earlier, Maj Gen Matar Al Balushi and the Commander of the Defence Force of the Union of the Comoros held a meeting during which they exchanged views about military matters of mutual interest. - ONA
