His Majesty issues 2 Royal Decrees

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued two Royal Decrees as follows:

Royal Decree No 84/2026 on appointment of non-resident ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan

Article 1 Says that, Sayyid Yarub bin Qahtan bin Nasser al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran, is hereby appointed as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Tajikistan.

Article 2 stipulates that this Royal Decree should be published in the Official Gazette and takes effect from the date of issue.

Royal Decree No 85/2026 on the ratification of an international agreement.

Article 1 ratifies an agreement for international cooperation between the Ministry of Education of the Sultanate of Oman and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) concerning scientific and technical cooperation in the field of high energy physics, signed in Geneva on May 19, 2026.

Article 2 says that this Royal Decree should be published in the Official Gazette and takes effect from the date of issue. — ONA
