SALALAH: Oman Writers and Literati Association, in cooperation with the Directorate-General of Education in Dhofar Governorate, today celebrated the honouring of student winners of the Literary Creativity Award for School Students in its third edition.
The ceremony, held at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Salalah, was held under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar.
The competition targeted students from public and private schools as well as students of special education, distributed across three categories: The Junior category (Grades 1–5) in the field of poetic recitation; the Young category (Grades 6–9) in the fields of poetic recitation, classical Arabic public speaking, and short story writing; and the Youth category (Grades 10–12) in the fields of literary text analysis (poetry), short story writing, and classical Arabic poetry composition. — ONA
