Madayn offers four Sur investment opportunities

MUSCAT: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) has offered four investment opportunities in Sur Industrial City, where cumulative investment reached about RO 2.3 billion by the end of the first half of 2026.
The opportunities cover the development of a private hospital, a specialised training centre, a quarry and an integrated residential complex as Madayn seeks to expand services supporting industrial and logistics activity in the city.
Eng Nasser bin Hamoud al Mabsali, Director General of Sur Industrial City, said the proposed medical centre would provide primary healthcare and supporting medical services to employees of companies operating in the industrial city as well as residents of surrounding areas.
The land area for the project is flexible and will be offered under a renewable 30-year contract.

A second opportunity involves establishing and operating a specialised training centre offering programmes tailored to the requirements of industrial and service companies and their employees. The project will also have a flexible land allocation and a renewable 30-year contract.
Madayn is also offering a 45,000-square-metre site for a quarry supplying backfilling materials under a three-year contract.
The largest land allocation covers 182,000 square metres for an integrated residential complex aimed at meeting growing accommodation demand from companies operating in Sur Industrial City. The project will be offered under a renewable 30-year contract and must comply with health, safety and environmental requirements and Oman Energy Association (OPAL) standards.
Sur Industrial City has an eight-kilometre waterfront and hosts major LNG and fertiliser projects alongside small and medium enterprises. It employs 1,843 workers, including 1,076 Omanis.
Madayn has also completed detailed designs for shipbuilding and maintenance facilities and the city's masterplan, while trial operations have started at the Sur 1 solar power plant.
