Oman takes integrated energy pitch to Gastech 2026

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman is showcasing its integrated energy value chain at Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, seeking to strengthen international partnerships and attract investment as the global industry navigates rising energy demand and the transition towards lower-carbon sources.
Oman’s participation in the September 14-17 event brings together Energy Oman, OQ Exploration and Production (OQEP), Integrated Gas Company (IGC), OQ Gas Networks (OQGN) and Oman LNG under the banner “Energy from Oman”.
The joint pavilion presents the country’s capabilities across the energy value chain, highlighting its gas resources, infrastructure and operations as well as efforts to improve efficiency, reliability and sustainability.
Gastech, one of the global energy industry’s major gatherings, provides Oman with a platform to engage international companies, investors and customers as it seeks new partnerships and investment opportunities.
Eng Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, inaugurated the Oman pavilion in the presence of Issa bin Abdullah al Alawi, Oman’s Ambassador to Thailand, and chief executives of the participating companies.
Al Aufi toured the pavilion, which features projects, technology solutions and operational capabilities across Oman’s energy sector.
The participation comes as the Sultanate of Oman seeks to balance energy security and industrial growth with its longer-term energy transition and emissions-reduction objectives under Oman Vision 2040.
Oman has been working to strengthen coordination across its energy companies and infrastructure while developing new opportunities in conventional and lower-carbon energy.
The participating companies said the joint presence at Gastech demonstrates the integration of Oman’s energy sector and its ability to combine national expertise and infrastructure to respond to changing global market requirements.
The pavilion will also be used for meetings with existing and prospective customers and international partners, with participating companies seeking opportunities for strategic partnerships and investment.
Oman said its participation was aimed at strengthening the country’s position in international energy markets while promoting an energy ecosystem capable of supporting domestic economic growth and the transition towards a more sustainable energy system.
