HORECA Oman brings together 200 exhibitors and 1,500 brands

MUSCAT: The fifth edition of HORECA Oman, bringing together more than 200 exhibitors representing over 1,500 local and international brands from seven countries, opened at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday.
The three-day exhibition, held under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Hamoud bin Qais al Said, runs until September 16 and features the latest products, services, technologies and solutions for the food and beverage and hospitality sectors.
Co-organised by Hospitality Services and Al Nimr Expo, with the support of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MoHT) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MoAFWR), the event covers more than 5,500 square metres of exhibition space and is expected to attract over 8,000 buyers and trade visitors.
The exhibition brings together stakeholders from across the hospitality and foodservice industries, showcasing innovations in food and beverages, hotel and kitchen equipment, hospitality design and operations.
Speaking at the event, Joumana Dammous-Salamé, managing director of Hospitality Services, said HORECA Oman reflected the continued growth and dynamism of the Sultanate of Oman’s hospitality sector.

 

 

“It has become an important annual meeting place where professionals come together to discover what’s new, exchange ideas and expertise, meet the right partners and create new business opportunities,” she said.
Salim bin Omar al Hashmi, CEO of Al Nimr Expo, said the exhibition contributed to strengthening the capabilities of the hospitality sector and positioning Oman as an evolving destination for investment and growth.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration between government institutions and private companies in bringing together professionals, innovators and emerging talents, while supporting the development of the sector.
The programme includes HORECA Talks, featuring industry experts discussing key opportunities and challenges facing the hospitality and foodservice sectors in Oman and the wider region.
More than 30 competitions and masterclasses involving over 250 competitors are also being held, including the Hospitality Salon Culinaire, Junior Chef Competition, Art of Service Competition, HORECA Barista Competition Oman, Latte Art Competition, Mocktail Competition and Bed Making Competition.
More than 40 speakers, experts and guest chefs are participating in masterclasses, live cooking demonstrations and knowledge-sharing sessions. Dedicated networking and business-to-business meetings are also providing opportunities for partnerships and business development.
The event is expected to further promote knowledge exchange, innovation and professional excellence across Oman’s hospitality and food service industries.
