ABM International School celebrates over a decade of excellence

Muscat: Ahmad Bin Majid (ABM) International School celebrated the outstanding achievements of its students at its 2026 General Education Diploma and Cambridge IGCSE Recognition Ceremony, marking a historic milestone as the school celebrates its tenth consecutive year of achieving the nation’s top General Education Diploma results.
The ceremony brought together distinguished guests, members of the Board of Directors, educators, parents and the wider school community to honour students whose dedication, perseverance and academic excellence continue to set a national benchmark.
The boys’ ceremony was inaugurated by Shaikh Dr Mansour bin Talib al Hinai, Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation, while the girls’ ceremony was graced by Dr Badriya bint Ibrahim al Shihi.
This year, 31 GED top achievers, 13 girls and 18 boys, were recognised for outstanding averages ranging from 94.5 per cent to 99 per cent. In addition, 11 students, 8 girls and 3 boys, were honoured for exceptional Cambridge IGCSE results, reflecting ABM’s commitment to internationally benchmarked academic standards.

Addressing the ceremony, ABM board member Hamad bin Najim al Tamami emphasised that the school’s achievements extend beyond classrooms and examination results. He highlighted ABM’s philosophy of developing students of strong character, integrity, respect, responsibility, compassion and resilience, while preparing them to become confident and capable future leaders.
The school’s educational philosophy is reflected in a wide range of experiential and global programmes. Through its Umrah Programme, students develop leadership, responsibility and service while deepening their connection to their faith and heritage. Cultural exchange initiatives in Germany and Japan broaden students’ global perspectives while strengthening their pride in representing Oman.
Students have also participated in Unesco programmes focused on sustainability, heritage and global citizenship, winning the CIPP Global Award from among 30,000 participants for a sustainable city design. Through its partnership with Sultan Qaboos University, students have gained hands on experience in archaeological excavation and research, contributing to discoveries of sites and artefacts dating back approximately 3,000 years.
