Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has added Muscat to its seasonal network, with flights set to begin on 27 October. The route will operate three times weekly from Riyadh, with bookings available through Saudia’s digital channels, including its website and mobile application.
The route forms part of Saudia's continued network expansion and its strategy of bringing the world to the Kingdom.
The airline continues to grow its network in response to travel demand while leveraging its fleet expansion and modernization program to increase operational capacity, add seat capacity and introduce new destinations and routes.
Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given approval to Saudi Arabian (Saudia) airlines to operate 3 direct weekly flights between Muscat and Riyadh.
The Riyadh-Muscat route will provide greater direct travel options between Saudi Arabia and Oman, supporting tourism, business travel and visits between the two countries.
Guests travelling from Muscat will also be able to connect through Riyadh to a wide range of domestic and international destinations across Saudia's network.
Alongside the expansion of its operations, Saudia continues to enhance the end-to-end guest experience. This begins before departure through a range of digital services designed to simplify travel procedures and extends through the airport and onboard journey, with comfortable seating, inflight entertainment and internet connectivity available on equipped aircraft.
Saudia continues to expand its network alongside an ambitious fleet modernization and growth program, strengthening its ability to increase frequencies and operational capacity. These efforts support the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy to enhance air connectivity and strengthen the Kingdom's position as a global aviation hub.
Saudi Arabian airline Saudia flies to over 140 cities in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America from its hubs of Jeddah, Riyadh and Medina.
The airline plans to expand its fleet and network by 2030, serving 150 destinations worldwide.
