CAIRO: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the 166th regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States (LAS) at the level of foreign ministers, held in Cairo on Monday.
The Omani delegation was headed by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthi, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, and included Abdullah bin Nasser al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, and a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry.
The Council discussed a number of political, security, and economic issues, most notably the latest developments in the Palestinian cause and the serious and rapidly evolving situation in the region, and its repercussions on the security and stability of Arab states and peoples. — ONA
