Rains lash Al Dhahirah, Al Sharqiyah North, and Al Dakhiliyah

Rains lashed several wilayats in the governorates of Al Dhahirah, Al Sharqiyah North, and Al Dakhiliyah on Friday, accompanied by strong winds leading to flooding of wadis.
In Al Dhahirah, the Wilayat of Ibri witnessed rainfall across a number of villages including Bilad Al Shoohom, Dhahir Al Fawaris, Wadi Al Ain, Maqniyat, Al Mahyoul, Amla, Al Howmaniyah, Al Ablah, Jabal Al Sarat, and Al Balidah. This led to the flow of several wadis and streams in Al Rassah and Al Mahyoul, as well as the flow of Wadis Shumayt and Al Banh, alongside a light flow in Wadi Sadab, while Jabal Al Sarat witnessed the descent of a number of streams. Thunderstorms of varying intensity also fell across several villages in the Wilayat of Yanqul, including Al Shuja, Al Muraibi, and the mountains of Al Waqbah.
In Al Sharqiyah North, the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi witnessed rainfall of varying intensity over Al Rawdah and Al Manqal.
In Al Dakhiliyah, rainfall of varying intensity fell on Harmat in the Wilayat of Al Hamra, and Jabal Shams witnessed scattered rainfall.
Oman Meteorology at the Civil Aviation Authority forecasts the continued formation of cumulonimbus clouds on Saturday, over parts of the Al Hajar Mountains with the likelihood of scattered rain accompanied by strong winds. Skies are also expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy over the coasts and Governorate of Dhofar and the adjacent mountains, with intermittent drizzle and scattered rainfall.
Meanwhile, there is a likelihood of sand storm the governorates of Dhofar, Al Wusta, and Al Sharqiyah South, potentially leading to blowing dust and sand, with a chance of low clouds or fog forming late at night and early in the morning along the coasts of the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea.
