Collisions main cause for accidents in Oman

Muscat: Around 43% of road accidents reported in the Sultanate of Oman in 2025 were due to collision between vehicles.
Among other accidents, 21% involved pedestrians, 23% vehicles due vehicle overturn and 16% percent due to collision with fixed objects.
There have been several accidents even during this 2026 Khareef Dhofar
due on the Sultan Said bin Taimur Road.
According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), around 75.1% of visitors to Dhofar travelled by road compared to 24.9% by air.
