Al Sulaimi takes on four Challenge Breton rounds

Omani para cyclist Sami bin Salim al Sulaimi is competing in four rounds of the 2026 Challenge Breton International, being staged across the Brittany region of France, as part of his international preparation programme under German coach Stefan Hoffmann.
Al Sulaimi began his campaign in Landaul on August 25 and will continue with the Plouay round on August 27 before heading to Ploërmel for the final two races on August 29 and 30.
His programme features road races as well as an individual time trial, providing the Omani rider with an important opportunity to compete against experienced international cyclists while further developing his physical and technical readiness.
The four rounds form part of a demanding competitive programme designed to enhance Al Sulaimi’s endurance, race management, pacing and tactical awareness across different para-cycling disciplines.
His participation comes as part of the programme adopted by the Oman Paralympic Committee and supervised by Hoffmann, with the aim of developing Al Sulaimi’s technical level, strengthening his international experience and supporting his efforts to improve his world ranking.
Competing in France also gives Al Sulaimi valuable exposure to high-level international competition, allowing him to test his progress against riders with extensive experience on the international para-cycling circuit.
The Oman Paralympic Committee continues to support national para athletes by providing opportunities to compete in international championships and events, helping them develop their abilities, gain competitive experience and prepare for upcoming continental and international assignments.
Al Sulaimi’s participation in the Challenge Breton International reflects Oman’s continued presence in international para-cycling competitions and the committee’s efforts to provide national athletes with meaningful competitive opportunities abroad.
The four-round campaign is expected to play an important role in Al Sulaimi’s preparation for future competitions as he continues to build experience and work towards stronger results on the international stage.
