Governor of Dhofar felicitates GED top performers

SALALAH: HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, today felicitated outstanding students who excelled in exams of the General Education Diploma (GED) in the governorate this year.
A ceremony to this effect was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan and was attended by Dr Mayzoon bint Bakheet al Shahri, Director-General of Education in the Governorate of Dhofar, in addition to the parents of the students.
HH Sayyid Marwan congratulated the outstanding students, noting that their success was the outcome of hard work and perseverance. He also commended the role of the students’ families and the educational institutions that lent support to the students and encouraged them to excel.
HH Sayyid Marwan pointed out that the students’ accomplishment opens broader vistas for greater achievements in the fields of knowledge and resourcefulness. “The outstanding sons and daughters of Dhofar Governorate represent promising energies that pave the way for development and serve the nation”, he added.
The felicitation ceremony aimed to express support for the march of education and the culture of excellence. It also underlined the importance of partnership between student families and educational institutions in nurturing promising talents. — ONA
