Sayyid Badr discusses Hormuz, regional issues with Iranian counterpart

 

Muscat: Sayyid Badr al Busaidi and his Iranian counterpart Seyyed Abbas Araqchi held a telephone conversation on Friday.

The telephone call addressed the latest regional developments and ways to create a conducive environment for resuming dialogue and negotiations, with the aim of bridging differences and reaching peaceful solutions to outstanding issues that take into account the interests of all parties.

The two ministers discussed developments regarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and emphasized the importance of continuing discussions to reach practical understandings that support the resumption of freedom of navigation, the smooth flow of traffic, and the security and stability of the region.
