SUHAR: The Governorate of Al Batinah North on Tuesday held a ceremony in honour of students who excelled in the General Education Diploma (GED) exams for the 2025-2026 School Year. The ceremony was held under the auspices of Mohammed bin Sulaiman al Kindi, Governor of Al Batinah North.
In a speech at the ceremony, the chief guest congratulated the students for their outstanding performance, noting that their accomplishments constitute the start of a new phase in which their ambitions and responsibilities would continue to expand. He urged them to uphold the high spirit of learning, develop their skills and dedicate their knowledge and abilities to serve their community and the nation at large.
Al Kindi pointed out that the youth represent a true asset in the governorate's march of development. He added that the governorate looks forward to the contribution of the youth in the fields of science, innovation, entrepreneurship and the development of a more prosperous and sustainable future. He observed that the success of every outstanding student was credited to “dedicated hands” that lent them support.
The ceremony saw the honouring of 31 male and female students who obtained a percentage of 99 per cent or higher in the General Education Diploma. The event embodied the governorate’s keenness to motivate students and encourage them to pursue their path of excellence and distinction. - ONA
