Future Leaders Camp concludes with 70 students

SALALAH: The Future Leaders Camp 2026 concluded at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, with the participation of more than 70 students from Grades 7 to 9.
Organised by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Programming Academy, the week-long camp featured 14 student projects competing in a programme designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.

The camp focused on developing personal and leadership skills, encouraging teamwork and innovation, and introducing students to entrepreneurship while helping them turn their ideas into potential future projects and opportunities.
The Mawhiba project, which focuses on community service, won first place. Mada, which developed AI-powered glasses to assist visually impaired people in their daily lives, came second, while Sanad Dhofar, a real estate reservation application, took third place.
The projects demonstrated the students’ ability to use innovation and modern technologies to develop practical ideas and solutions that address community needs. — ONA
