Court orders 1 year prison and deportation for publishing indecent content via Live Broadcast

The Court of First Instance in the Wilayat of Seeb issued a verdict convicting the defendant of Arab nationality of committing the misdemeanor of using the information network and IT means to produce and publish material that violates public morals.
The sentence includes confiscation of the device used, closure of accounts, deportation, and publication of the verdict; for producing and publishing material that violates public morals.
The defendant will face permanent deportation from the country after serving the sentence.
The Public Prosecution's investigations revealed that the convicted woman appeared in a live broadcast via social media, which included content and behavior that violated public morals. Consequently, legal measures were taken against her, and she was referred to the competent court
