Seeb stay perfect as Saham return to winning ways

MUSCAT: Seeb maintained their perfect record in the Jindal Youth League after defeating Dhofar 4-0 in the sixth round, while Sur strengthened their challenge in Group One and Saham returned to winning ways to remain on top of Group Two.
Seeb continued their dominant campaign with a fifth successive victory, overcoming Dhofar 4-0 to move to 15 points. The leaders have scored 27 goals and conceded only two, giving them an impressive goal difference of plus 25.
Sur kept up the pressure with a 2-1 victory over Oman Club. The result extended Sur’s unbeaten run and lifted them to 13 points from five matches, two behind Seeb. Sur have recorded four victories and one draw and remain the only other unbeaten side in Group One.

Samayil and Bahla shared the points in a 3-3 draw. It was Bahla’s first point of the campaign, while Samayil moved to four points.
Al Nasr, who sat out the sixth round, remain third with 10 points from five matches, while Oman Club are fourth on nine points after suffering a third successive defeat. Samayil have four points, Bahla one and Dhofar remain without a point.
In Group Two, Saham bounced back from their first defeat of the season with an emphatic 6-1 victory over Al Nahda. The win took Saham to 12 points from five matches and kept them three points clear at the top of the standings.

Al Shabab remain second and unbeaten after playing out a goalless draw with Ibri. They have nine points from five matches, with two wins and three draws.
Al Khabourah and Al Rustaq also shared the points following a 1-1 draw. Al Khabourah moved to eight points from five matches and occupy third place, while Al Rustaq are fourth with eight points from six matches, behind on goal difference.
Ibri sit fifth with seven points, while Sohar, who did not play in the round, remain on five. Al Nahda are still searching for their first point after five defeats.
With the group stage moving towards its decisive rounds, Seeb have established a clear advantage in Group One, while the battle behind Saham in Group Two remains wide open as teams continue to chase the two semifinal qualification places.
