Salalah Airport sees jump in passengers, flights

The number of flights operating from the Salalah Airport increased by seven percent to 1,758 between June 21 and July 31, compared to the same period in in 2025.

The number of arrivals jumped by 8 percent to 154,529 passengers from 142,488 in 2025, recording an increase of 12,041 passengers. 

This growth in flight and passenger traffic coincides with the Dhofar Autumn Season 2026, which is witnessing an increasing demand of visitors from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman to enjoy the autumn atmosphere that characterizes Dhofar Governorate during this period.

SalamAir on Tuesday a limited number of additional flights between Mucat and Salalah over the coming days, to support domestic connectivity and facilitating travel to Dhofar during one of Oman’s busiest tourism seasons.
